Rain gently begins to plummet the earth, ending with a silent splatter. ‘Rain,’ he thinks with a snarl. He hated rain, hated it long before he even become a fire element wolf. His blue eyes narrow in protest as he comes to a sudden halt, head peering over his shoulders as he looks at his tail, which was hissing also in protest to the rain. Inhaling deeply, he continues, the territory couldn’t be much further. Paws move quickly, carrying him further with each bound. Finally, he comes to a clear boundary line marked with the heavy scent of the queen. Smiling, he crosses, scratching at the line for a moment as if to lay some sort of other scent. Allowing others to know that a pack inhabited this land. Bounding forward he notices instantly just how hot the earth was. ‘Feels good,’ he thinks to himself as he stands, paws flexing as he drives his long talons into the flesh of the earth. “Very nice,” he growls aloud as he pads forward, taking a seat beneath a towering Pine Tree. Ears flicker forward as he sits, resting his traveling paws. The skin on his snout wrinkles slightly upon inhaling the strong scent of pine. He had always like the scent before, but, now in the hot air, it smelled rather putrid.

Her well toned form wove through the forest on the eastern side of the lands as she passed by a small family of deer hiding beneath the brush. Her shining silver orbs were liquid looking now, unlike their hardened form at the stone earlier that night. As she passed through the forest, a light rain picked up and she quickened her pace, for on the other side of the woodland was hot, dry land calling her name. She could see the rays of sunlight at the exit of the forest just a few hundred meters before her. She emerged within a couple of minutes and breathed in the thick, heated oxygen sending her fur on end. She shook her whie pelt and her flamed chest and tail whispered in the slight breeze of her moments.
She lifted her muzzle to the air and sniffed a few times, picking up the scent of the newcomer, Phoenix. She curved her body to the right in a sharp turn and began walking to the area that his scent lingered from. She approached as silent as she had at the stone, not a word spoken yet, her silver orbs eyeing him under the parched pine tree. Before she was ten feet in front of him, she sat, flaming tail curling around her paws habitually. "I see that you've made it to the territory. ." She spoke casually with her head held high and her neck arched royally.

He had been panting heavily, his eyes closed with his tonge lolling to the side of his blunt red muzzle. Slowly, his eyelids pry themselves open, revealing a set of oceanic pools. The fire of the queens tassel danced, reflecting in his eyes. The corners of his jowls tug upward into a wolfish grin, ears perking forward. "Appears I have," he says in return to the females comment. Just then, he had realized that he didn't know her name. She knew his, but he hadn't had the chance to ask for her own as of yet. Sitting upward, he shakes his head, ridding of the pine needles that clung to his thick pelt. "Excuse me, but what's your name," he asks, head tilting to the side as he questions the radiant female. His eyes gleamed, glancing to the distance for a moment before settling upon her elegant form once again.

Flanery watched Phoenix for a moment before averting her eyes to a hare scampering away behind him into the open ocean of the plain. His heavy panting filled her auds and his eyes closed as his tounge rolled out of the side of his mouth. "Heh." A half-chuckle slid from her muzzle at his actions. His blue orbs opened once again and he looked at Flanery this time, grinning as he spoke. He shook a few pine needles from his ember colored pelt before speaking once more. She waited a moment to reply, letting a few seconds of silence creep between them. "Flanery." She answered him casually and as shortly as possible before adding on. "I'm guessing that you haven't adjusted to the element yet. .? She spoke half in question and half in an obvious statement, her voice gliding through the air like soft velvet song notes.

His blue eyes were glossed over slightly, black nose wet. “Yeah, I still haven’t become accustomed to the heat,” he growls as he looks toward his paws for a moment. “I think it’s odd that I was given the fire element considering I hate heat and really don’t like fire,” he smiles. “But, I guess the gods knew what they were doing,” he adds as he leans backward, resting his back against the large tree trunk. He too had caught a glimpse of the Hare as it darted past. His muscles tensed, watching the snack escape, which, was rather tempting to watch. Sighing, he watches as it vanishes. ‘It’s long gone now,’ he thinks to himself as his ears perk forward, eyes glancing toward Flanery. “That’s a name that suite you well,” he says as he allows his gaze to drift over her figure. Deciding that he was rather thirsty, he lifts to his paws, glancing about. “Is there a lake or river near by,” he asks before moving a few paw steps forward.

Flanery's silver orbs watched him with hardly any emotion. She didn't know this wolf, and didn't want to get too close to him yet. He leans back on the pine tree and her eyes followed his movement, watching his muscles tense as the hare passed. "Afraid of the fire?" She chuckled and the flames around her neck and her tail blazed even hotter, showing him fire's true beauty. "Indeed they do." She agreed, nodding slightly. But her true thoughts were otherwise. A dark look passed over her for a moment before he questioned about water and stepping towards her. He was only a few feet in front of her and she already felt uneasy, but let on no sign of it at all. "Head to the west and you'll run into it within the forest." She nodded to the forest behind him before lifting a paw and stepping towards him for only a split second, making him think that she was getting near to him, before stepping around him and heading towards the lake.

He didn't move as Flanery took a step in his direction. His blue eyes scanned her head for a moment before he allowed them to wander off into the distance. After watching her turn and head toward the lake, he follows. He kept a fair distance back from the female for he didn't want her to think oddly of him. In fact, he hung back quite a ways, taking in the special characteristics of the terrain. Padding a little faster, he leaps over a fallen log, flames sparking from his paws as he swiftly lands. Smiling to himself, he takes another bound, then another, watching the sparks in interest. He wondered just was he was capable of with this power. Finally he reached the lake, seeing that Flanery was already there. Padding forward, he dips his head and slips his tongue from his long muzzle. He begins to drink greedily, laping at the refreshing liquids in a hurried fashion.
